Somewhere off the highway, at the end of a dark street was a modest grey brick house. And just like most other houses on that street, it was completely dark. At least it should have been. If it were but for one small window in the basement that a light could still be seen. And it is here in the wee hours of the night that I sit typing this journal because I've hit a writing block in my essay that is due in the morning. It's been a year and a month, but somehow I doubt that's the point. So, I'm getting my first taste at a somewhat independent lifestyle. Residence is alright, and university's alright for now. Funny enough, the course I find myself disliking the most is one of a few that I need for my major. There are things I've learned and things that have happened to me in that year: - met new ppl - lost contact with others - gone on my first city bus ride(I'm a small town hick, I admit it) - stressed over and over again and lost many an hour of sleep spent on schoolwork(I'm sure I'm not the only one) - I rediscovered my love for shows like 'Mighty

Finally, only two more day until the holidays. I am SO planning to hibernate for the next two weeks, I've lost about 5 nights of sleep so far this year already O_o *grumbles* stupid art projects. I love art and all, but this year has been absolutely ridiculous even though we're semestered and I only have two real classes (the other's an online course) for this half of teh year. I guess I'm just stressed from all that art hw and my grade 4 harmony exam this past Saturday. You'd think after about 10 yrs, I'd get tired of all the piano lessons and music exams. its really a lot of work. I handed in my last art project of 2004 *dances in a circle
